In 2014, 18% of WIC families reported that in the last 12 months, there were times that they had to reduce the size of their meals or skip meals because there wasn’t enough money for food. 4% of families reported that this happened every month.
As shown in the charts below, the percentage of familes that reported not having money to buy enough food or could not afford to eat balanced meals have decreased from 2011 to 2014.
