In 2015, 19% of 3-year-old and 4-year-old WIC children in Los Angeles County were overweight (Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than or equal to the 95th percentile with regard to the standard reference population). The graph below shows how the rates have changed over the last decade.

Hispanic children, which make up 84% of the Los Angeles County WIC population, appear to have a higher obesity rate than children of other ethnic groups.
